The Vulgar: Fashion Redefined

We are very excited to announce that we are the official sponsors of the Barbican Centre’s new show, The Vulgar: Fashion Redefined.

One of the leading art spaces in the UK, The Barbican Art Gallery presents the best of international visual art alongside a dynamic mix of fashion, architecture, design and photography. The Vulgar is the first exhibition to explore the inherently challenging but utterly compelling territory of taste in fashion, from the renaissance through to contemporary design.

Examining the constantly evolving notion of vulgarity in fashion whilst reveling in its excesses, you are invited to think again about exactly what makes something vulgar and why it is such a sensitive and contested term. Drawn from major public and private collections worldwide, The Vulgar showcases over 120 stunning objects, ranging from historical costumes to couture and ready-to-wear looks, with contributions from leading contemporary designers such as Chloé, Christian Dior, Lanvin, Moschino, Louis Vuitton, Vivienne Westwood and of course, Agent Provocateur.

Come and see our Varvarra playsuit from the Soiree SS15 collection on display at The Vulgar, from the 13th October 2016 – 5th February 2017. Book your tickets now –
